Job Description

The Pastoral Counselor will provide faith-based counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups who are clients of Revive Counseling Center. Counseling services include the potential treatment of adults, children, teenagers, couples, families, groups, etc.

Reports to: Pastoral Care Director

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• College degree in Christian, Faith-Based, Pastoral, or Biblical Counseling, such as:

  • Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from a Certified Academic Institution of the National Christian Counselors Association

  • Master of Divinity (MDiv)

  • Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling

• Available to hold a minimum of 12 counseling sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred by the practice.

• Comfort with and the ability to provide Online Telehealth services in addition to in-person psychotherapy services.

• Comfort with and ability to integrate Christian faith-based objectives into the counseling process.

Other Preferred Qualifications:

• One year experience providing pastoral care to individuals, families, couples, or groups

• A niche market/specialization of services (i.e. teenagers, trauma, anxiety, couples, etc.)

Job Duties:

1. Provide on-site and online Christian counseling services to clients of Revive Counseling Center as scheduled, and in accordance with practice policies.

2. Regular and reliable attendance at work is required.

3. Abide by all rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services provided on behalf of the practice.

4. Respond to requests for services within no more than 24 hours, whether such requests are made via phone, email, the practice’s website, voicemail, etc.

5. Communicate with client’s treatment team (PCP, case manager, school, etc.) as necessary.

6. Timely complete written records for each client, within no later than 24 hours after the client encounter.

7. Charge and collect payment from clients consistent with the financial policies of the practice.

8. Conduct and regulate appointments in a professional manner as to promote the good will and reputation of Revive Counseling Center.

9. All other duties as assigned.
