Job Description

The Associate Therapist will provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups who are clients of Revive Counseling Center, under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Supervisor. Psychotherapy services include the potential treatment of adults, children, teenagers, couples, families, groups, etc. This position is intended for individuals who hold an associate level license or a provision license to practice psychotherapy in the states of Kentucky, Indiana, or Tennessee.

Reports to: Clinical Director

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • One of the following educational degrees:

    • Master’s Degree in a CACREP-accredited program such as counseling, social work, marriage & family therapy, human services, etc.

    • Master of Divinity Degree from an institution accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS).

  • Active, unrestricted license in the State of Kentucky, Indiana, and/or Tennessee such as:

    • LPCA

    • CSW

    • AMFT/LMFT

    • LMHCA

    • CADC

    • Provisionally-licensed KLPC

  • Available to hold a minimum of 12 counseling sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred by the practice.

  • Comfort with and the ability to provide Online Telehealth services in addition to in-person psychotherapy services.

  • Comfort with and ability to integrate Christian faith-based objectives into the therapeutic process.

  • Ability to be contracted with private insurance and managed care organizations

Other Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year experience in mental health private practice

  • A niche market/specialization of services (i.e. teenagers, trauma, anxiety, couples, etc.)

Job Duties:

  1. Provide on-site and online psychotherapy services to clients of Revive Counseling Center as scheduled, and in accordance with practice policies.

  2. Regular and reliable attendance at work is required.

  3. Be properly licensed in your respective discipline and abide by all rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services provided on behalf of the practice.

  4. Respond to requests for services within no more than 24 hours, whether such requests are made via phone, email, the practice’s website, voicemail, etc.

  5. Communicate with client’s treatment team (PCP, case manager, school, etc.) as necessary.

  6. Timely complete written records for each client in a timely fashion, within no later than 24 hours after the client encounter.

  7. Charge and collect payment from clients consistent with the financial policies of the practice.

  8. Conduct and regulate appointments in a professional manner as to promote the good will and reputation of Revive Counseling Center.

  9. Meet regularly with assigned clinical supervisor to discuss current caseload, challenges, successes, and other related experiences as per licensure requirements.

  10. All other duties as assigned.
